Scope of Service
General Engineering Company supplies industrial bearings and related components; the exact products, brands and quantities supplied under any order are those stated in our written quotation.
Our range covers bearings and accessories used in electric motors, pumps, fans, gear reducers and general production equipment, including:
Deep groove, self-aligning and angular contact ball bearings
Cylindrical, tapered, spherical and needle roller bearings; thrust ball and thrust roller bearings
Pillow block and flanged units, housings, adapter and withdrawal sleeves, locking devices
Precision bearings, linear motion components, seals, grease and mounting tools

Quotations
Every quotation from General Engineering Company is issued in writing and itemises the information a buyer needs to compare offers and approve a purchase.

Prices and availability are valid for the period stated on the quotation. Where no period is stated, the quotation is subject to stock confirmation at the time of order.

Substitutions & Technical Changes
If a specified brand or model has a long lead time, General Engineering Company may propose an alternative; no technical change is made to any order without the buyer's prior confirmation.
Alternatives are proposed in writing, identifying the substitute model and brand.
Changes to dimensions, clearance, sealing, cage or other specifications apply only after the buyer confirms them.
The buyer remains free to keep the original specification and accept its stated lead time.

Order Confirmation
An order becomes binding once both parties have confirmed the order details, the payment method and the delivery address.
The buyer is responsible for the accuracy of the models, quantities and consignee information provided. Amendments requested after confirmation are accepted only if agreed in writing by General Engineering Company and may affect price and lead time.

Shipping & Documents
General Engineering Company provides logistics tracking information for every shipment and supplies standard export documents on request.

Tracking details are shared once the consignment is dispatched.
Export documents
Standard export documents accompany the shipment when requested at the time of order.
Estimated delivery times are given in good faith. Cross-border transit times may vary due to carrier schedules, customs clearance, inspections, weather and other events outside General Engineering Company's control, and such variations do not entitle the buyer to cancel a confirmed order.

Inspection on Receipt
The buyer should check the condition and quantity of goods on receipt and report any issue to General Engineering Company, quoting the order number.
a.Check outer packaging for damage before signing for delivery, and note any damage with the carrier.
b.Verify models and quantities against the order confirmation.
c.Report discrepancies with the order number and photographs so the case can be reviewed and resolved.

Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the total liability of General Engineering Company under any order is limited to the price paid for the specific products giving rise to the claim.
General Engineering Company is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including loss of production, equipment downtime, loss of profit or loss of contracts. Selection of a bearing for a particular application remains the buyer's responsibility; any technical guidance is provided to assist that decision. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing Law
These terms and every order placed under them are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, where General Engineering Company is based.
The parties will first seek to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation. Disputes that cannot be settled amicably shall be submitted to the competent court at the seller's place of business, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Changes to These Terms
General Engineering Company may update these terms from time to time, and the version published on vuobearing.com on the date of order confirmation applies to that order.
Updates do not affect orders already confirmed. Where specific terms in a written quotation or order confirmation differ from these terms, the specific written terms prevail.
